Whispered, loving words,
Softly released breaths,
Feather-light, chaste kisses,
Brazen, amorous daydreams,
Rapidly beating heart,
Dances in the rain.
Fluttering birds inside,
Flower, however, intact.
Feelings arise quickly
Ready to leap.
Cross the border,
Determination practically bursting.
Missing those hands,
Soft, caressing fingers,
Carved, strong back,
Sweet, honeyed voice,
And soul-searching eyes, dragging me under.
Love takes flight,
Walls come down,
Heart now vulnerable.
I’m for you.
I beseech you:
Don’t break me.
