crinkled up in a lifeless form
we have all been there once before
from time to time we break
hoping to fix our last mistake
we breathe to let out a fake sigh
because we all think we are being sly
but deep down we hear a sound
hitting our insides with a pound
shattered and in tears
we think through all the years
what could be worse
then this one painful curse
but then we realize it's not a race
to go though life with just one face
put yourself onto a higher shelf
and lady, just be yourself
