Just Someone in the Hallways
Just someone in the hallways
A familiar face that catches the eye
“Oh, hey, I’ve seen you before.”
Growing closer, falling faster
Not daring to look back
Fear of losing it all
From a speck of friendship
To a string of love
A bond thought to last forever
“I love you.”
Three simple words
Holding so much meaning
Yet so little feelings
Thinking it was everlasting
But broken in the end
Just a familiar face that caught my eye
As we walked in the hallways
Heading in opposite directions
“I’m sorry, I don’t know you.”
