Wondering the unknown,
As a child we inspect.
Turn over every rock,
In our mothers garden.
Face every dog in the park.
Read every story as an experience.
Just simply twist clouds into our creations.

Later, its finding ourselves.
Who will I become?
What will the future hold?
High school,a mere game.
With the pressure of following,
Or wondering different?
We choke down questions,
For fear of being shunned.
We only wonder what,
The next move will be.

Later, we wonder regretfully.
Do I like my job?
Is this the right man?
We contemplate and wonder.
Wonder the other path,
We regret not taking.
Chasing our thoughts,
Around and around,
Until STOP! We wonder,
Is it too late to change?

Later we wonder painfully.
The dark despair that creeps.
Waiting in the shadows,
Waiting for that set date.
Is it my time?
Delaying the inevitable,
We think lastly of our family.
Death will present itself,
and we will walk, wondering?
Will I ever see them again?

The author's comments:
I was inspired by my grandmother, she wondered about many things and taught me to look at the small things in life.
