I walk
I stop
I wait
I look both ways
I wait
I wait
I wait.
They only let me cross
Once in a blue moon.

Finally
I cross
I go home.
My anger has frozen inside me
I can’t defrost it.
I have a glass of milk
The soft white purity
Wraps around my every gulp
I feel lighter
Lighter than a feather
I am not angry anymore.
Then I remember
They only let me cross
Once in a blue moon.
