Destined for failure
When I look around me
I see happy fulfilled people,
laughing with their friends,
hugging dear loved ones.
When I look up at them
they smile hopefully.
I force a crooked smile,
praying that they don't see the pain.
When I look into these cheery people, I feel lost.
They have homes to go to, and people who care.
I have no one. Just my neurotic thoughts, and me.
When I look at my reflection I see
a lonley girl, trapped in a world of sorrow.
I see a girl with so much potentail,
but nobody sees.
When I look back at my life
I see a doomed child,
starved for acceptance,
destined for failure.
