Dear Daddy
You look at me
And I look back, Tears welling up in my eyes
Because what I see
Is incomplete, empty hate you can't disguise
Your words tear right through me
As if I don't exist, I never really did to you
This feeling will not be missed
You grasp my soul
And won't let go, the pain I can't deny
You push and pull
And yet I know, Not to fight and not to cry
Everything's the same with you
Whats done wrong, and never right
I wish you knew what I been through
Then feel what I feel for just one night
But the pain I know
you could not handle, for its something far beyond
what someone should have to feel
but the pain and i, we have grown a bond
I hate it so much, every once in awhile
but yet its what I'm so used to
the pain that hides a shattered smile
it comes from only you
