Not To Be Reproduced
You gaze at yourself
A mirror's reflection
Of a face
A face in the present
You stare at your eyes
And they stare at you
And you see the sad faces
Hear the here again words
Of heartache and heartbreak
That ate away at your soul
And left you floating away
And disappearing
Again you see the tear drenched faces
And the venomous stares
Of people once loved
But then reality drifts in again
And your back again
Staring
At a person you know
At the person you are
And the face that person has been assigned to
That can't be taken away
And is not to be reproduced
You stare at the eternal reflection
Of two facing mirrors
And what you see
Is a constant glimpse of what has already been
And what will always be
