My Escape

The look of dew kissing the grass.

In the morning summer haze.

The fog that dances and glides across the tree tops.

Rain that falls from a never ending sky.

Past big rolling clouds filled with purples and blues.

That sweeps in like a tide in the afternoon.

The look of lightening as it paints the sky in angry lines.

The endless clashes of thunder. Booming with laughter.

The mud between my toes

Clothes soaked

The smell of damp earth and rain

A smile so wide

The trees that sway in the breeze

The endless row of trees

A secret hideout

A place to escape

A dreamers place

The author's comments:
This place is my place, my sanctuary away from home. My hide out, my friend, my only hope. A place to unravel my thoughts, to think, to feel, to sort the messes. But now it's gone.
