The Life I Led
Suffocated by my fear,
Overwhelmed by my lack of tears.
Dreams of faces in the past,
Wishing, hoping I could cast
Far, far away from me.
Severed by the fear that they may never flee.
Danger awaits in every step I take
While those I love are affected by each move I make.
To the world I am dead,
That is where my fear is led.
Memories keep haunting
The normal life keeps taunting;
But I cannot give in
The enemy will never win.
This life I led
Might just kill me.
I can’t run, I can’t hide
But in God I will abide
