They ask me where I’ve been,
and what am I to say for I have done nothing.
I have killed in the jungles of Vietnam
and hid in the trenches of the Berlin.
On the fields of Virginia I killed British men
and in cities of the future we fought invaders.
but what can I say to them
because in truth I did nothing.
