So Blue

Living in a rainbow world
Cast off and designated to be one color
And one color only
Why can’t I be every color?
Nothing is black and white
Rejected and dejected,
I’m not as bright as the others
Or as colorful
I want to break the mold
But I fade a shade
Into the background
Washed away by a sea of colors
That look and feel
Exactly like me.
