In a real dark night of the soul, it is always three o'clock in the morning, day after day.
F. Scott Fitzgerald

Princess puppet
Entrapped in the strings of a toadyfrog
Roaring whispers
In hushed hallways
Becalm the voices
Imprisoned within her
Bookish
Nerd
Outcast
Who is she?
Quietgirl who reigns from
The lands of a
Muted schoolroom corner
Look at her
Ugly mouse
Look at her
Stupid
The uglypretty people see her
Corner her
But they are blind
Invisible
No one hears
The quietscreams inside her head
Help
No one but her
Why?
Where has she gone?
Coward
The Uglypretty people don’t see her
They are blind
Stupid
Hideous
No one saw
The house of cards collapse
Quietscreams became loud
No one saw
No one heard

Quietgirl follow the dragon
Cold medal against warm skin
Cold skin against warm carpet
Who is she?

I wrote this during a really hard time in my life and just when I had finished the book Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson. I hope people realise that bullying is extremely detrimental, even if it is ignoring someone or talking behind their back.
