What Doesn't Change
I am a clear, salty teardrop
That rains down on the soft pink rose you clutch in your hand
A storm of emotions on a summer's day
Clouds the logic you normally understand
Plucking the velvety petals from their home
They float to the ground, unable to roam

The sky is all around us forevermore
The ocean's waves are lapping at its shore
These things are everlasting, always here
I am full of remorse for making you disappear

I'm only a dreamer imagining scenes of sorrow
Wondering if you'll come back tomorrow
But hoping it's so, and every tomorrow that comes after
Because everyone deserves their own happy ever after
Even you and I, though we never cease to anger each other
So it's lucky we'll always remain sister and brother
