I've opened my eyes for the first time in a long time.
And who did I see? I saw you.
A smile spread across my face,
And now my sky's are turning blue.

I went outside today and looked up at the sky.
The clouds of gray? All clear.
I sat down in the grass and grinned,
As sunshine cast away all of my fears.

I took a deep breath of the fresh, clean air.
Musky, rainy air? All gone.
The sun beamed down on me,
And the birds tweeted their song.

I've been saved from a black abyss of darkness.
Who was my savior? You.
You've made me see the sunlight.
You're my dream come true.

This poem, as many of my others, was inspired by my boyfriend. This one wasn't just him though. I wrote this one while I was outside, trying to get some good shots of the spring flowers. Both my boyfriend and the beautiful world around me inspired this.
