Hidden From Me
You asked me to hangout, sounds innocent enough.
"Let's talk and watch tv." You fool me with your bluff.
You have a secret agenda, it's hidden far from me.
You're about to become the guy I never dreamed you would be.
Your laughter is refreshing. Your eyes, they comfort me.
The truth of who you really are, if only I had seen.
You're getting kinda pushy. I clearly told you no.
But I'll have this price to pay 'cause all you heard was go.
"Stop," I said. "I don't want to." Your persistence worsened my fears.
The tightness of your grip on my arm is only bringing tears.
What are you doing? I can't believe you'd hurt me this way.
You're too strong to fight, to heavy to push. There's no escape today.
Too scared to fight any longer, I give up and let you win.
I can't believe I let this happen. When did it begin?
The damage you have done, I'll never let it show.
But today you tore my life apart and I want you to know.
