in childhood memory
of loving embraces
my parents gave to me,
I find empty spaces
where feelings ought to be.

Looking for appearance
in childhood memory
of solid assurance
my parents gave to me,
I find no endurance
where safety ought to be.

Looking for the phases
in childhood memory
of supporting praises
my parents didn't give to me,
I find doubt amazes
where sureness ought to be.
