You’ve got me on string
Close enough when you need me
Yet far enough away not to
I have to be careful
Cause if you cut the string
I don’t think I could hang on
Barely staying as it is
Wish you would draw me in
Just give me a chance
Just as I start to slip
You take my hand
And help me back up
But this time I need more
This string isn’t enough for me
I deserve more than this
The string may be all we have
And if that’s true
Then I think its time to let go
