"the pen is the tongue of the mind" -Miguel de Cervantes

Does the pain ever ceased?
Does the sorrow ever fade?
I try to forget
But the memory never remains absent

Is it because he left one day?
The feeling of a blade piercing the skin
Happiness seems long forgotten
Like a half remembered dream

It's as though I can still hear his heart beat
But I know it's just empty lies
Its as though it was just yesterday
That he left me behind

Its as though I can still hear him laugh
But I know the wind is void
It's as though
This misery will never end

Life seems cruel and heartless
But I know he's probably in a better place
Has he forgotten me?
Or does he share my affliction?

The words roll over my tongue
But are like poison to my ears
With each memory creating a laceration in my heart
And filling my eyes with tears

I have to oppose
What I'm trying to deny
I have to face the reality...
That's he's gone...and no matter what I do, I can't bring him back
