Today I thought about that day…
The day you vanished

The day that makes me cry unstoppable tears
The day that made me lose all hope and stop wishing upon shooting stars
The day your eyes closed and never re-opend
The day that leaves regret churning in the pit of my stomach

The day that makes me wonder why…
Why did I get the second chance?
Why were you the one to go?

The day that leaves haunting pictures
Of you laying on the charcoal black highway
With a scared to death expression on your face
Reaching for my hand to comfort me
The day I would give anything to take back
The day the world lost a little ray of sunlight

This a nice but sad poem... if you lost someone wondering why it was that person and not you is foolish... it's life, even if it were the other way around that person would probably be wondering the same... Good job though
