A Lovely War MAG
The apocalypse has come
You can see it all around us
In the stars
In the animals
In your eyes.
The aftermath is nothing more
Than a pile of rubble, debris and dead bodies.
Not my own vendetta,
But those of the enemies of our land.
They felt threatened by
The actions of our country.
Now they will make the first major move …
As the bombs fall around us,
The government regrets its actions.
But there is a calm peace that is noticed,
In no place but each other’s eyes.
We sit,
Hand in hand,
Staring into the brown eyes of the
other person.
Waiting for our time to come
Together,
As one.
