Perfect Little Girl
I’m not your perfect little girl anymore.
I haven’t been for a while.
But, how would you know?
You are too obsessed with yourself
To notice me anymore.
I’ve been changing and
Embracing all of my mistakes,
Whereas, just a couple of years earlier,
I would be pushing myself for perfection.
I guess for you that was enough
Because after that you never seemed to
Truly see me as me.
You saw me as your perfect little girl.
But, that has come to an end.
Now, you see the person I have become.
The person who may talk too much.
The person who realizes that nobody’s perfect
And accepts her imperfections.
And for some reason,
You don’t like her
As much as your perfect little girl.
