What We Are Given
The sun in my eyes
The whisper of wind in my ears
The taste of strawberries sweet
The smell of the flowers drifting
The green grass on my back and the sand between my toes
All the things the world gives us
All the things that people can take from us
Be carful of what you take for granted
Cherish what you have
Take only what you are given or have earned
Take no more and take no less
Be all that you can
But lend a saving hand
To keep the peace and hold dear what we were given
