The Play
With great gusto they gesture
 The crowds talk and wave
 Silence steals over
 and light illuminates the stage
 the red curtain reigns in
 and applause breaks out
 we stand exposed
 scattered about
 with terror in our hearts
and with trepidation in our voices
 we timidly begin to recite
 those O careful phrases
 as we continue
 we gain confidence and poise
 soon we gesture grandly
 and laugh with great noise
our hearts soar to the sky
 no longer frozen with fear
 with joy we continue
 till the end comes near
 at last it’s almost over
 and as it ends
we all hold hands and bow
 and then the curtain descends
