Nature Loves the Wolf
Wilderness,
we belong to the woods
Trees grow tall, eclipsing the sun
a wolf howls
prisoner to no one
We wander, quiet
shed our man-made clothes
man-made language, mindset, religion
we shed our man-made hearts, cold
We cede to our instincts
senses,
the sight of fowl
the smell of pine needles
touch of primitive weapons —
The rain cleans us of our dirty pasts
Tainted by cruelty, war, greed
Money vanishes —
cars, media, judgment, needless pain
The earth envelopes us and
takes us in
Mother Nature maunders into the roots of the forest
words, love
As we free ourselves from the corruption of man,
she forgives us
