As I look around me and see the darkness
Watching as it closes in
No longer trying to escape
But now lingering in the safety of its shadows
Watching as the crazy world passes me by
Wondering how people can be so happy
They are even happy with the way things are
With the hate and the murder in the world
Why aren't there more of the content ones
The ones who aren't happy
But who don't let the craziness bother them
More of the ones lurking in the shadows
Staying safe from the outside world
