What is a love song?
A lie sung by sickly sweet sirens,
A form of approved witchery,
Spinning words into chains that bind and suppress,
Or a melodic voice easing you farther down,
using lyrical prose to blind the obvious,
But what is a love song ?
The truth and nothing more or less,
raw emotions strung into moving prose ,
a confession of the soul,
spilling declarations of love into the air ,
Whispered into your ear and settled in your heart,
More real than thought and better than medicine?
