Cursed Lullaby

February 28, 2011
You scream out in darkness,
another unwelcome night.
I hold you tightly,
willing you not to cry.

Sleep love, softly
Don't you cry.
I'll sing you to a restful sleep
With cursed lullabies

Dreams of blood,
tears flood your eyes
I'll sing you to a peaceful rest
cursed lullabies...

Death and danger haunts this night
I hold you tightly in my arms,
An urge I cannot fight
The wind howls against the windowpane,
it bangs and it snarls

Hush now, darling, close your eyes
I rock you to a dreamless sleep,
Humming cursed lullabies...

Cursed lullabies

This is really good, and kind of haunting. Think that maybe you could spare some time and leave me a comment on my poem? If you can't that's all right, but I'd love to hear your opinion.
