Dreams
Opening the window to your mind
Pushing it up so you can see what’s inside
Your thoughts, hopes, and worries
Reveal themselves
Your eyes no longer see the world outside
But rather the endless world within
An image dances over the back of your eyelids
You become numb to reason
Only knowing what you see
When you do realize that reality is somewhere else
It blows back through the window
And your subconscious mind retracts hastily
You are left to wonder what happened
But it was your mind
So somewhere behind that translucent gateway
It lurks
Waiting….
Until it can be let out again
