To Move On Is To Grow
I think of the time,
 spent neglecting my opportunity,
to be something that nobody else will be.
Making the straight path I had been following,
 for years, crooked
over the days spent doing what’s “wrong,”
instead of what “my job” is.

It’s as if I adjusted to it,
as if my body adjusted to years
 of sleeping on stones,
creating dents in my way of life
that my body became used to,
 like pressure points,
 pressure points that prevent me
from doing what I need to.
 Because…
I have been sleeping on stones.
