Morning dew blankets crisp autumn leaves,
a river of oranges, reds, and browns twisting along the scarlet dawn lit pavement pathway.
Trees line the perimeter of the deserted back road;
the sublime sun bursts between twigs,
warming the roots, casting a shadow of the naked branches above.
A strong gust of wind carries the subtle aroma of fresh pine;
leaves dance with the gust, flickering in and out of the shade
and rolling upward in a suspiciously organized flight pattern.
Bliss overwhelms, and I'm content.
