His Home
Home
Go home
I thought to myself
Don’t worry
But when I go,
I don’t have a choice
But to clean
The bathroom
I don’t eat that night
Home
I’ve been sleeping in the basement
For a few months now
On Christmas Eve
Mother comes downstairs
To see my dad in the kitchen
She starts to argue
Home
A few months later
We welcomed a baby boy into the world
She named him Damien
What a stupid name
I thought
Things might change
But they got worse
I ate whatever my brothers left and sleep in their cereal bowls
Is this home?
