A Dying Spirit

I believe that if I try to do right
Everything always goes wrong
I try to smile and move on
But it's as though I cant fight
As though I'm not strong
I pray and I pray
That God guides me down the right path
But it's as if I hear silence's wrath
Like God has lead me astray
Into a darkness that will always last
I seek comfort in my mind
But its as empty as my chest
Where my cold heart rests
Breaking with time
Putting my will to the test
My soul has gone weak
My eyes are still crying
My will is still trying
My spirit wants to speak
But it cant because its dying...
