I lie here imagining myself in another world,
Undisturbed
Classical music escaping softly from my cd player sitting on the
relaxed
beach chair sinking into the sand
An embracing hug from a close friend wipes away all thoughts of
everything
Enjoying the flow of warm air,
a bead of sweat running down my forehead,
the heat fills the spaces that felt cold and lonely
Vines of the gnarled willow tree brush at my ankles
The smooth, white beach stretching endlessly beyond my sight
A vast teal ocean touches the sky

Freshly painted buildings on the side of a newly paved street,
Empty,
Tranquility
I go here to be alone when I just need those few precious moments to
concentrate or think
I come to dream
Of my future, of my life, of fate
What will come of me?
All of this will not soon be answered but for now,
It’s nice to have the small pleasure of going to my world
My imagination
My mind
