She Makes It Look Easy

Leaping as high as the ceiling,
Even though her stomach drops in fear.
Turning several times on her toes
Even though her toes are throbbing.
Holding her leg by her head
Even though her muscles are straining.
Holding her arms in perfect position
Even though her arms are aching.
Trying to be elegant and graceful
Even though she’s completely exhausted.
Her breathing is coming in rapid shallow breaths
Though she continues dancing with a smile of her face.
