Heart's racing, leg's pumping
My mind is filled with thoughts.
This is my escape from the world
Where I let my mind run wild.
There is no better style
To get rid of all those emotions
That have complied,
Than running miles after miles,
Leaping and jumping over piles,
Going off into the world all alone.

The author's comments:
I was inspired to write this poem after running everyday during the summer. I love the feeling of running, it truly is my escape from the world. I wish that everybody can find that special thing that allows them to escape for a short amount of time.
