Oh Britain, our mother
How you have hurt us
So badly like no other
It’s time we make a fuss

The Stamp Act taxed all our paper
Then it was revoked
But the Townshend Acts were our maker
We were provoked

We led the Boston Tea Party
It was our protest in 1773
But you did not hear
You came with the Quartering Act
That put the soldiers so near

Later you made the Sugar Act
Taxing our sweet
Back again you came with the Stamp Act
But our Non-importation Agreement could not be beat

So let us out of this trade
Out of this depression
We want no more, god forbade
Or let this turn into aggression
