You sit there cocky and proud
Your words cut deep
They are arrows breaking through my skin
You disguise them
Wrapped around with flowers
But I will not fall for that
I learned my lesson
I just hope one day you learn yours
You can’t own people
Or tell them what to do
I don’t fall for your manipulation
And I won’t give you the power
Of causing me pain
You do not rule this earth
You were just a necklace that didn’t fit
You choked me, I was speechless
Unable to stand up for myself
So I took you off
And threw you away
No longer do you haunt me
