Let me lay by you.
Please, let me lay by you.
Let me feel your solid presence-
I need it to hold me up
and still
Without that heartbeat and blood flow
against my back
along my legs
I toss, I turn.
Fully clothed and clammy.
I sweat.
Please, wrap your conscious around me
so it blankets mine.
Please, let me soak you in.
Let part of you stay with me
A rhythm of your heartbeat
hidden in the hollows of mine.
