Silence is golden, but duct tape is silver.

Dream big, little bird.
Dream your wildest dreams.
Dream of dancing about in the heavens
Or of flitting about carelessly in the skies’ greatness.
Dream of freedom and independence
Or of flocking with your birdie friends.
Dream yourself full of grace, of agility, of speed.
Dream yourself to be whatever you want to be.
Dream big, little bird.
But for now, rest.
Close your eyes and sleep.
Today you lay snuggly in your nest: newly hatched, young.
But soon- ah, soon,
Soon you shall be a great eagle.
So dream big, little bird.
For tomorrow- tomorrow you will learn how to fly.

"I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best."
— Marilyn Monroe

This is a great poem.  =)  It seems to be about not only birds, but of children growing up as well.  I like it!
