Fire
The ultimate tool
It flicker’s wildly
Dancing in the wind
A burning log falls
Launching hundreds of sparks
High into the air
Floating softly in the cool night air
They simmer slowly
Then vanish in the night
The night wonders on
As the flames die down
The cold creeps in
As light dawns on the horizon
The coals still smoking
A lone boy prods the fire
Stirring the coals back
