Love like a metaphor,
Something that I never asked for.
I fell, I stumbled
Into this.
And yet at the same time,
I glided here,
Just as you spread your wings and flew away.
Speeding on the freeway,
Trying to get away from what you’ve known.
Open your eyes,
And you’re still where you were.
