Hail Mary

I have
ten indentions in
the palm
of my hand.
Because those are
ten mistakes, and
ten pleasures, and
ten thoughts, and
ten feelings I'll never get back-
And I
chain my fist together,
so that my
nails
dig deeper and cut the skin
because
those are
ten different languages
I'll never unnderstand,
And
Hail Mary, full of grace,
Let the Lord be with
me
for a change.
