A story

What a pretty picture
two people walking in the snow
two paths, two lives, two stories,
converging, with one way now to go.
Can you tell what they're saying,
as you peer our and watch them walk
is it love, or hate, or anger
what about do they talk?
Watch long enough to see
the way the story ends
they part as heartfelt lovers,
where once was only friends.
As they kiss there in the cold
and ready themselves to part
though wind and ice may freeze you,
their love will warm your heart.
