Lies.
When you look into their eyes all you see is a black pupil surrounded by a sea of color.
And in that pupil you see yourself starring right back at you.
But thats it, nothing but the obvious.
When I look into their eyes I see more than just a reflection,
I see past the pupil,
beyond just the outside.
I see the fear,
I see what lies deep inside them.
The past they try to hide.
I look so deep I can almost hear the screams,
can almost smell the stench,
can almost feel the sadness.
They try to hide the past like its nothing,
hope that no one but themselves can unravel the truth.
Take off the mask that covers up their past.
Though I can see it.
