Basketball is Life

Basketball for some is just an avocation,
but I rely on it for my only chance of acclamation from my peers.
I hope that it will someday supply a relieving competence for my loved ones.
Then and only then will I know that my work here is done.
Now you know why, for this sport, I allow myself to suffer so much strife.
You now know basketball is not just a sport for me.
Basketball is Life.
