Welcome to the Asylum
This is my home now
The Asylum
Filled with
Them
The lunatics
Crazy, laughing lunatics
It is only here I feel at ease
Away from the confusion
And stress and pain and anger
Of the outside world
Here
Everything is muted
And the lock on my door
Makes sure no one bad can get in
And hurt me
Calming angels
In soft white coats that smell of soap
Are here to soothe me
With their kind words
And pinpricks
When I wake and before I sleep
I swallow these little pills
One by one
So many colors
And my troubles simply melt away
I'm not crazy
I'm not one of
Them
I'm just tired of living
On the Outside
Welcome to the Asylum
