friends

By , Chapel Hill, NC
you told me that you where my best friend
your'e not
you told me to trust you
i did
I shouldn't have
you told me I'd be safe in your sweet arms
I was anything but
you told me your lips would whisper sweet taste and honeysuckle flavors
they whispered only karoseen that caught fire as it dripped upon my bare skin now burned and flaming
you promised me
you said you'd love me
said I was the most important thing
said you'd dance with me
said you'd catch a falling star
make a wish for me
sing and dream for me
be my everything
be my friend
mary jane
your are nothing of me
cocaine
weed
you all lied to me
you aren't my friends
you aren't my dreamers
my star catchers
you are a bad fortune cookie
an addiction I now forbid
a personal reflection
my life's worst section
a cry at night
a nightmare I can't fight
a therapy class I no longer attend
Goodbye..."friends"
