Life.

I walk the streets.
The lonely dark road
in search for something,
that can't be found.
I pray that it will end soon.

I walk the streets.
The painful road
I try to find away out
but overcome with fear
I pray this will end.

I walk the streets.
the cold dark road
I try to find my way home
but can't
for I don't know where I am
I pray that I can stop it all.

I walk the streets.
The hard road
I want it to end
before it ends me.
I pray the pain will end.

I walk the streets.
The crushing road
In a nightmare
that seems so real
that it is.
The road is almost to an end
But something is stopping me.

I walk the streets.
The warm road
I found what I was looking for
The road no longer dark
Unless, I lose again.

I walk the streets.
the safe road
knowing that
he'll be there.
It is no londer dark
for the sun has come up.

I wrote this not about a road or a street, but my battle against depression.

"Depression isn't enjoyable. It feels as if there's a thousand pound weight on you. You feel like your heart will crack at any moment; so you sit and you pray it won't be in front of the guy that caused it."
