The city that never sleeps
Lights shinning, noise a constant.
From the bright stars of Broadway
To the roar of the mighty tiger,
Caged in the Bronx Zoo,
Life is ever-changing
Ever moving, without stop.

From taxis above
To the subway underground,
The City is waiting
To be explored,
To be discovered,
To be found.
In a New York minute.

In my creative writing class my teacher had us write a poem regarding a place we had all visited. Much to my delight, everyone in my class had been to New York. I love New York and hope to attend college there, but up until then I had never written about it. I’m so glad I did because from all the poems I have written, this has to be my favorite.
